To ensure that the highest quality of service in the Spa is provided at all times; To maintain smooth operation of the onboard Spa; To perform massages and treatments to passengers; To display products to their full potential in the Spa and to promote sales accordingly; To forecasts product needs and to plan and place orders accordingly; To ensure that all Spa store rooms and lockers are securely locked when staff is not present and at the end of the business day Merchandise may not be left unattended at any time in the receiving areas; To train, coach, council, support and delegate all of the Spa Staff; To ensure that all Spa Staff participate in responsibilities common to all shipboard staff, such as, but not limited to boat drills or other shipboard duties pertaining to the safety of guests, or responsibilities assigned by the Mystic Office; To develop and monitor the Work schedules including schedules for duties in other departments (gangway duties, ship’s tours etc.) for the Spa Staff; To prepare and conduct Performance Appraisals for the Spa Staff; To schedule the daily opening hours for the Spa and to check the entries throughout the cruise to ensure that the times of operation is correct and ensure that all advertisements are forwarded to the Chief Purser in a timely manner; Participate in gangway duties and luggage handling if requested by Supervisor; To download all pre reservations and to make the bookings on the appointment sheets; To ensure that work stations, restrooms and treatment rooms are cleaned according to schedule, following the detail of USPH standards; To submit work orders when deficiencies are noted or when maintenance is required and to follow up on the work orders in a timely manner; To adhere to and to ensure that the Spa Staff adheres to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives; To ensure that all Spa Work Registration Forms are completed correctly and handed in to the Chief Purser in a timely manner; Other responsibilities, as assigned by the Chief Purser, but not limited to the above.

Minimum of three (3) years experience in hotel or Spa on land or two (2) years experience on board a cruise ship in similar position required; Must be fluent in written and spoken English; Advanced German or French skills required, any additional foreign language is a plus; Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills; Must have good administrative skills (Microsoft Office) Knowledge in MXP / POS is a plus; Basic accounting skills; Excellent organizational skills; Must possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to interact with all levels of people.

Financial Responsibilities To conduct all accounting and record keeping activities related to the Spa operation on board, including handling of cash, balancing of sales, counting, receiving and pricing of products; To ensure that all of the transactions done in the Spa are correct; To monitor and control the onboard revenue of the Spa; To ensure that Company property is maintained properly and treated with respect at all times. Safety Responsibilities To ensure that the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment by the Spa Staff is implemented at all times; To ensure that Safe Lifting Techniques are practiced at all times by the Spa Staff; To be familiar with Ship´s Emergency plans; To be familiar with Safe Working Practices. Emergency Duties To follow instructions on Safety Card; To participate in Guest/Crew Lifeboat Drills as per instructions; Other safety responsibilities, as assigned, but not limited to the above. Team Communication and Meetings To attend meetings with the Chief Purser and Hotel Manager on a daily basis; To schedule and obtain meeting with the Spa Therapist on a regular basis; To encourage and demonstrate good communication, excellent teamwork and continuous training, coaching and counselling.
