The IT Applications Manager will be fully responsible for:

Managing and maintaining the IT operational applications of the Mystic ships, mainly MXP PMS and Crew scheduling module. Managing, maintaining shoreside DB and application servers based in HQ data center.

As this position based in Madeira, a remote access to all systems onboard and shoreside will be provided.

Essential language and level –English is mandatory. Ability to communicate in other languages is an advantage. Minimum High school graduate Experience as an IT specialist, support, programmer, or DB administrator role. Experience with MXP, Adonis or similar systems is preferable. Able to work with DB servers such as MS SQL or Oracle is an advantage. An Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Wide detailed experience and knowledge of systems/programs including UNIX, MS Office, Windows (desktop and server), troubleshooting and investigating end-user errors. Experience with TCP/IP based networks including basic switching, routing, and basic firewall technology. High degree of efficiency to manage the continual integrated information network. High degree of efficiency in troubleshooting DB and applications issues. Awareness of basic Cyber Security knowledge and Cyber Risk Management process in operation from Ship to shore is preferrable. Basic knowledge of GDPR rules and data protection. Basic project management skills such as planning, time management and change management. Excellent organizational and planning capabilities
